2. Scope
This notice covers the Witdem marketing website. It does not automatically cover customer-operated Witdem installations. This site does not require an account. We do not run ads or social-media plugins.
3. Hosting and server logs
When you open the site, the web server processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer, browser, and operating system. The purpose is delivery, stability, and security (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). We keep this data only as long as needed for that purpose, then delete or anonymize it.
4. Enterprise contact form
If you submit the form, we process name, work email, company, optional phone, message, locale, referrer, user agent, and a hash of the IP address (abuse prevention). The purpose is to handle your inquiry (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR, steps prior to a contract; alternatively Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
We store submissions in our lead records, including a local CSV backup and a Google Sheet via Google Apps Script. The recipient for that sheet is Google Ireland Ltd. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers. We use the data only to respond to your inquiry and keep it as long as handling and any statutory retention require.
5. Fonts and demo video
These pages load fonts from Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.). Your IP address is sent to Google. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (consistent presentation of the site). A transfer to the USA is possible (Standard Contractual Clauses).
The demo video is delivered via jsDelivr. Playing it sends your IP address to the CDN operator. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (delivery of the media file).
6. Website analytics (Matomo)
We do not use PostHog. For optional usage analytics we use Matomo on our host webanalytics.kaufman-ais.com (Kaufman AIS). Matomo loads only after you accept. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with the switch below or by rejecting the banner. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.
After consent we may process: page URL, referrer, browser and device data Matomo collects, scroll depth, time per section, click labels, and form field names plus whether a field was valid. Field values, email addresses, and messages are not sent to Matomo. Heatmaps (_pk_hsr) only if that feature is enabled for this site on the Matomo host.
You have not chosen yet. Tracking stays off until you accept.
Cookies after consent: _pk_id (13 months), _pk_ses (30 minutes), _pk_ref (6 months), _pk_testcookie (almost immediately), _pk_hsr (30 minutes, Heatmaps), mtm_cookie_consent or mtm_consent_removed (consent / withdrawal).
No ads, no social-media plugins.
7. The Witdem product
The Witdem product evaluates contracts locally. Prompt and response capture is off by default. Structural analytics does not need prompts, completions, documents, or tool calls. Processing in a customer installation is controlled by that customer.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already took place.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state where you live. For us that is the Brandenburg data-protection authority (LfDI Brandenburg).
There is no automated decision-making including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
